It is important for all dog owners to maintain the welfare of their dogs and puppies during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Government has announced there is no evidence of coronavirus circulating in pets or other animals in the UK and there is nothing to suggest animals may transmit the disease to humans. We all need to follow the general advice on washing our hands regularly, including before and after contact with animals.

Every dog needs regular exercise and well as us. If your dog cannot exercise at home, you should ask someone outside of your household to walk your dog for you. This will be particularly important for those infected by the coronavirus or those who do not wish to go outside the house.
